At Maytree Group, we’ve spent four decades in the trenches. We’ve seen firsthand where projects succeed and, more importantly, where they stumble. Usually, it’s in the “data gap"—the space between a beautiful architectural drawing and the reality of the ground beneath it.
Our new consulting arm - Maytree Limited Consulting (MLC) - was born from a simple realisation. The most common and expensive variations to a New Build project, are largely at the beginning of the project, and ones that could have been identified or mitigated before a single machine arrived on site.
MLC leverages the near 40-year heritage and experience of the 1st generation Maytree Developments Ltd (est. 1989) & Maytree Ltd Building Contractors (est. 2002). Combining this with the 2nd-generation energy of the Maytree ‘brand’ contracting divisions Demolition, Groundworks and Landscaping (2015), and complementing our existing consulting arm AEC. MLC provides a dedicated ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) service for the executive residential market and new build developments geared for the early highest risk trades. We don't just provide data; we provide contractor-informed intelligence.
Why we exist:
Having been a Developer and Builder for 30+ Years and a specialist Demolition, Civil Engineering and Groundworks contractor for the last 15 years - we have spent decades operating in the ‘highest proportion of risk’ to new construction – the front end. Too often we have been the 1st contractor on site, with projects commencing only to discover works information that has unanswered ‘data gaps’ or is incomplete – introducing unnecessary risk.
Our aim:
We aren’t here to compete with the design team. We are here as experts to proactively work for and alongside Architects, Engineers, Private Clients and Developers. Preparing the data we know they need to allow them to "stress-test" the site, on paper, before contractors arrive to site, and the ‘meter’ starts ‘running’.
Not only do we provide all necessary and practical, site-based Land Surveying, Site Investigations, materials and in-the-field testing under one roof. We offer expert buildability advice, construction sequencing and design guidance on all aspects of Site Enabling Works, Demolition works, Ground Engineering, Foundation design, Drainage design and New Services co-ordination/ design. We ensure that the Architect's vision remains buildable, the Engineer’s design is based on the realities of site, and the Client’s budget starts off sound and remains intact.
